/u/0 in google plus urls -


why google plus urls have plus.google.com/u/0 base url though urls work fine without /u/0 @ end. there special purpose behind such design ?

it's used new feature google introduced recently, multiple sign-in account, 0 means default account, 1 second account , on.

is not exclusive of google+, can see in product
